YSR Asara Scheme
YSR Aasara Scheme has been launched by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr. YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy on 11th September 2020. Under this scheme, the state government of Andhra Pradesh will reimburse the loans taken by women SHG belonging to a minority community.
During the election, Mr. YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy announce the combination of 9 social schemes called Navaratanalu. The 9 social schemes are Vidya Deevena, Vasathi Deevena, Amma Vodi, Vidya Kanuka, Nadu-Nadu, YSR Arogyasri, YSR Arogya Asara, and SR Pension Kanuka.
Vidya Deevena, Vasathi Deevena, Amma Vodi, Vidya Kanuka, and Nadu-Nadu schemes are the scholarship schemes. under this scheme, the state government of Andhra Pradesh will provide financial assistance for free education to the students who come under the Below Poverty line.
Under YSR Arogyasri, YSR Arogya Asara scheme the state government will provide free treatment to the people of economically backward sections.
Under YSR Pension Kanuka the state government will provide the pension to the citizens.

The objective of the YSR Asara Scheme
- The main objective of the YSR Asara Scheme is to empower women of SHG and to increase their income.
- To uplift the social and economic condition of women in society.
- To encourage women for self-employment.
- The government of Andhra Pradesh will reimburse all outstanding loans taken by all women members of SHGs belonging to SC, ST, BC, and minority communities in four installments.
Benefits And Features Of The YSR Asara Scheme
- This scheme will help to empower the women of Andhra Pradesh.
- The government will reimburse SHG loans to women belonging to minority groups through this scheme.
- As a part of the implementation of “Nava Ratnalu”, the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s commitment to alleviate the poverty in both rural and urban areas and to improve productivity, the YSR Asara scheme is proposed to be launched on 11.09.2020.
- Under the scheme, the Bank loan outstandings of SHGs as of 11.04.2019 will be reimbursed in four installments.
- In urban areas, the estimated beneficiary SHGs covered are 1,54,956.
- Around 900000 beneficiaries will get benefit from this scheme
- Under this scheme, the amount will be paid directly into the bank account of the beneficiary

Eligibility criteria
To apply for Andhra Pradesh YSR Asara Yojana, the applicant has to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- The applicant should be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh.
- A member of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) is eligible for this scheme.
- Applicant women must belong to SC/ST/BC/Minority Community.
- The applicant should have taken a loan before 11 April 2019.
