West Bengal Krishak Bandhu Scheme
On 17 June 2021 West Bengal Krishak Bandhu Scheme is started by the chief minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee. The farmer of the state will get various benefits from this scheme. Under this scheme, the state government will provide financial assistance of Rs 10000 per year for cultivation to the farmers having one acre or more land and Rs 4000 to those farmers who have less than 1 acre of cultivable land. Apart from this, the state government will provide a death benefit of Rs 20000 to the farmers below 60 years of age
The financial assistance of Rs 10000 will be provided in two equal installments during Kharif and Rabi seasons every year.

Objective of West Bengal Krishak Bandhu Scheme
- The main objective of Krishak Bandhu Yojana is to promote the agriculture sector in the state.
- To help the farmers of the state so that they can do farming without any problems.
- Providing them financial assistance for their seeds, pesticide, etc.
- To uplift the financial condition of farmers.
Advantages of Krishak Bandhu Scheme West Bengal
- Each farmer of the state will be given life insurance of Rs. 200000.
- Insurance cover will be provided to all the farmers who died accidentally during the implementation process of this scheme in the state.
- The state government will provide financial assistance of Rs 10000 in two installments. One in Kharif and the other in Rabi season.
- Insurance cover will be given to the victim’s family within 15 days after the victim’s death.
- Under this scheme, the crop insurance premiums will also be given by the state government to all the beneficiaries.
